Things
by Cultured Code GmbH & Co. KG · Application · also known as Things 3, Things for Mac
Personal task manager for Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Apple Vision Pro from Cultured Code, sold as one-time purchases with free Things Cloud sync
Overview
Things is a personal task manager for Apple platforms developed by Cultured Code in Stuttgart. It structures work into Inbox, Today, Upcoming, Anytime and Someday lists, with areas, projects, headings, checklists, tags, deadlines and repeating to-dos, and it shows calendar events alongside tasks. Each platform app (Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Vision Pro) is a separate one-time purchase, and Things Cloud synchronises between them at no extra cost. Automation runs through a URL scheme, Shortcuts actions, AppleScript on the Mac and Mail to Things for email capture. It is favoured by individuals who want a calm, opinionated system rather than team collaboration. There is no web, Windows or Android client, no shared projects or assignment, and no public REST API, so integrations rely on the URL scheme or local scripting.
