Nasdaq Data Link
by Nasdaq, Inc. · Data service · also known as Quandl
Nasdaq's marketplace for financial, economic and alternative datasets (formerly Quandl) with a REST API, time-series and table endpoints and Python, R and Excel clients
Overview
Nasdaq Data Link is Nasdaq's data marketplace, the renamed successor of Quandl, offering financial, economic and alternative datasets from Nasdaq and third-party publishers. Datasets are exposed in one of two API shapes: time-series indexed by a date, retrievable in JSON, XML or CSV with slicing, frequency collapse and transformation parameters, and tables that can be filtered by column; a single API key authenticates both. Official client libraries exist for Python and R and an Excel add-in, and the data.nasdaq.com portal provides dataset documentation, previews and subscription management.
The catalog mixes free datasets (for example Nasdaq's own core US equity daily prices and a range of macro series) with premium products sold by subscription, each governed by its publisher's licence terms. At the time of checking, the legacy documentation site redirected to an access-tools page that returned an error, suggesting the documentation is being reorganized; users should expect some product churn following the Quandl rebrand and confirm licence terms per dataset before redistribution.
Editorial note on uncertainty. docs.data.nasdaq.com redirected to a page returning 404 on the check date, and the portal renders client-side, so API parameter details rely on the publicly known time-series/tables design rather than a freshly read reference page. pricing_url omitted because pricing is per dataset.
