Bluebeam Revu
by Bluebeam, Inc. (Nemetschek Group) · Application · also known as Bluebeam, Revu, Bluebeam Studio, Bluebeam Cloud
PDF markup, measurement and collaboration software for construction documents, with a Windows desktop app plus web and mobile companions
Overview
Bluebeam Revu is a PDF-centric application for the architecture, engineering and construction industry from Bluebeam, Inc., part of the Nemetschek Group. The Windows desktop program opens drawing sets, calibrates scale and measures lengths, areas, counts and volumes for quantity takeoff, applies standardised markups from a customisable tool chest, compares revisions, slip-sheets and stamps batches, and summarises markups into quantity tables that export to spreadsheets. Studio provides shared sessions where distributed teams mark up the same documents in real time, and Bluebeam Cloud extends viewing and markups to browsers and mobile devices. It is sold by subscription in Basics, Core, Complete and Max plans. Takeoff is measurement-oriented rather than a full estimating engine, the desktop application is Windows-only (Mac users rely on virtualisation or the web app), and pricing is per named user.
